A new blog site and My thoughts on Using eBay's Feedback System

I recently started another blog dedicated to tips for eBay and eBusiness at www.eBayeBizTips.com. My first post is about Using eBay's Feedback System, Before and After the Transaction.
eBay calls Feedback “your permanent reputation as an eBay member” and it is a valuable tool to be used both before and after your transaction on eBay. You can get an Overview of Feedback on the eBay site. Below are my thoughts on how to use Feedback to your benefit.

Before the Transaction

As a Buyer: You should always check a sellers feedback before buying from them for the first time. Even if they have 100% positive you should read the comments and look at what was sold before making your decision to buy or bid on an item.

eBay Sellers, don't let this one get away!

It isn't a one cent listing week, but it is pretty good.
From October 18th through Nov 5th, Listing Fees are 33% off for Auction Style or Fixed Price. Good for Motors (parts and accessories) and Canada too! And, if you start at 99 cents or less, the listing fee is half price!

Check the Announcement Board to get all the details on eBay's current Listing Fee Special.

Have Fun!

eBay Sellers: Don't get caught in the Phisherman's net

The Phishermen are at it again.

You probably know already to watch for spam and Phishing email that look like they are from eBay but really are a trick to get your login info.

I just wanted to make sure you were aware of one that is back and tricked a lot of people before.

The 1 cent listing week

Do not fall for it. eBay does not do a 1 cent listing week. And you don't have to sign up for ebay listing promotions, they are automatic.

It may be obvious that it is fake because it has some format issues but there may be several versions going around, here is an image of one.

Here are 2 things you can do to protect your eBay ID and password.

1. Whenever you check your regular email , (Outlook, Yahool, Gmail, etc) and see an email that looks like it is from eBay, DELETE it immediately, open a new browser window and type in www.eBay.com. Go to My eBay and check My Messages. If it is not there then it is fake. All legitimate email from eBay will be in your My Messages inbox.

2. Get the PayPal Security Key. It gives you an extra layer of protection when logging into PayPal and eBay so that even if someone were to get your password, they wouldn't be able to get into your account without the code from the security key. get more info at
www.paypal.com/securitykey

Have Fun! and be Careful,
Mike
