The Phishermen are at it again.
You probably know already to watch for spam and Phishing email that look like they are from eBay but really are a trick to get your login info.
I just wanted to make sure you were aware of one that is back and tricked a lot of people before.
The 1 cent listing week
Do not fall for it. eBay does not do a 1 cent listing week. And you don't have to sign up for ebay listing promotions, they are automatic.
It may be obvious that it is fake because it has some format issues but there may be several versions going around, here is an image of one.
Here are 2 things you can do to protect your eBay ID and password.
1. Whenever you check your regular email , (Outlook, Yahool, Gmail, etc) and see an email that looks like it is from eBay, DELETE it immediately, open a new browser window and type in www.eBay.com. Go to My eBay and check My Messages. If it is not there then it is fake. All legitimate email from eBay will be in your My Messages inbox.
2. Get the PayPal Security Key. It gives you an extra layer of protection when logging into PayPal and eBay so that even if someone were to get your password, they wouldn't be able to get into your account without the code from the security key. get more info at www.paypal.com/securitykey Have Fun! and be Careful,
Mike
